Children of a Lesser God
One of the most celebrated American plays of the late twentieth century, Children of a Lesser God, returns to Broadway for its first-ever revival, a new production starring Joshua Jackson and introducing Lauren Ridloff, both making their Broadway debuts, and directed by Tony Award-winner Kenny Leon. Mark Medoff's landmark play, not seen on Broadway since its 1980 Tony Award-winning original production, tackles the complexities of human connection and communication with insight, wit, and unyielding compassion.
SYNOPSIS: A speech therapist who works at a school for the deaf attempts to teach the school's deaf cleaning woman to speak and read lips. They fall in love, but she refuses to learn speech, which complicates their relationship.
