Join Broken Box Mime Theater for their 2-part masterclass the evenings of January 10 and 11! This engaging workshop intensive will examine body language, mime 101, staging metaphor, and constructing narrative through movement. Open to all levels of experience and recommended for performers, directors, and writers. Atmosphere will be fun, welcoming, and collaborative. Spaces limited. The winter masterclass runs in advance of a 2018 Physical Storytelling course at the New School of Drama and springtime auditions. Join us!
About Broken Box Mime Theater (BKBX):
Since forming in 2011, BKBX has received New York Innovative Theatre Awards for Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Performance Art, and Outstanding Choreography/Movement. BKBX has received grants and funding from the White Pines Residency, CUNY Dance Initiative Residency at City College, A.R.T./New York Creative Space Grants, the Nancy Quinn Foundation Grant, the Cultural Development Fund, and NYSCA.
