Lena Hall, who won a Tony for her performance as Yitzhak in the Broadway bow of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, launches her Obsessed project with an EP and music video featuring songs from Hedwig.
In the video above, Hall rocks out to Hedwig's opening anthem, “Tear Me Down.” Hall performed the song when she took on the title role in the musical's national tour, becoming the first performer to play both Hedwig and Yitzhak in the same production.
Hall has also released a second music video that features her rendition of Hedwig's "The Origin of Love." Watch it below.
The EP of Hedwig songs written by Stephen Trask features “Tear Me Down” as well as “The Origin of Love,” “Sugar Daddy,” “Wicked Little Town,” “The Long Grift,” and “Midnight Radio.”
Musicians include Justin Craig on guitar and keyboards, Matt Duncan on bass, keyboards and saxophone, and Brian Fishler on drums and percussion.
The Obsessed series continues throughout 2018 with Hall releasing a new EP the first Friday of each month on SKB Records. In addition to the 12 EPs, music videos have been created for all 54 songs in the series, and a new music video will premiere each week throughout the year.
Obsessed is produced by Craig, Hall, and Kurt Deutsch. Purchase the EPs, which are also available on all digital and streaming platforms, and view the videos at LenaHallObsessed.com.
Hall has also been seen on Broadway in Cats, 42nd Street, Dracula the Musical, Tarzan, and Kinky Boots.
