The performance, titled We Tell the Story: A Celebration of the works of Ahrens & Flaherty, honored Tony Award-winning collaborators Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (currently represented on Broadway with Anastasia.)

A group of 28 students from around the United States and Canada took part in the performance, which featured “Why We Tell the Story” from Once on this Island, “Make Them Hear You” from Ragtime, and “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!” from Seussical.

The International Thespian Festival is a celebration of student achievement in the performing arts, produced by the Educational Theatre Association and attended by more than 4,000 students and teachers. It will run through June 24. Playbill is a sponsor for both the Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Festival.
