Regional News Watch Clips from World Premiere of The Prince of Egypt Musical The stage adaptation continues through November 5 in Mountain View, California.

Take a look above at footage of the world premiere of The Prince of Egypt. The new musical, based on the 1998 animated DreamWorks film, runs through November 5 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts in California.

The show features a score by Stephen Schwartz (who won an Oscar for the film’s song “When You Believe”) and a book by Philip LaZebnik. Bay Street Theater Artistic Director Scott Schwartz (son to Stephen) helms the premiere production.

Danish native Diluckshan Jeyaratnam stars as Moses in the TheatreWorks Silicon Valley production. He will reprise his performance at the Fredericia Teater when the musical plays Denmark in 2018.

In addition to Jeyaratnam, the cast includes Jason Gotay as Ramses, Brennyn Lark as Tzipporah, Tom Nelis as Pharaoh Seti, and Christina Sajous as Queen Tuyah.

Rounding out the cast are Motyka as Miriam, Will Mann as High Priest Hotep, David Crane as Aaron, Ayelet Firstenberg as Youcheved, Jamila Sabares-Klemm as Nefertari, Paul-Jordan Jansen as Jethro, and Natalie Schroeder and Alexandra Van De Poel alternating in the role of Young Miriam. The ensemble includes C.J. Blankenship, Dominic Dagdagan, Katherine Dela Cruz, Jourdan Epstein, Brian Flores, Gabriel Hyman, Joshua Keith, Travis Leland, Alison Mixon, Ramone Owens, David Sattler, Alicia Shumway, and Kalyn West.
