Two musicals—one that played Broadway and another still in development—will be showcased in early 2018 concert performances at the 92nd Street YM-YWHA in New York City.

Presented as part a two-show series titled A Night at the Theatre with Daryl Roth, the shows include an encore of the 2015 Broadway musical It Shoulda Been You and a glimpse of the in-development musical, Between the Lines. Casts for the two productions will be announced in the coming weeks.

Roth is one of the most active producers on Broadway today. She has co-produced more than five dozen shows since 1991, including Proof; August, Osage County; War Horse; Fish in the Dark; The Humans; Groundhog Day; and the current Kinky Boots and Hello, Dolly!. She also produced the original Broadway run of It Shoulda Been You.

Here are details on the series:

Between the Lines
January 28, 7 PM. Based on the bestselling book by Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha van Leer, the show premiered at Kansas City Repertory Theatre earlier this year. With music and lyrics by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, book by Timothy Allen McDonald, and directed by Jeff Calhoun.

It Shoulda Been You
March 5, 8 PM. Everything seems to go wrong on Rebecca Steinberg’s wedding day in this musical comedy. Just when it looks like everything is coming together at last, there is one surprise left. Book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove; music by Barbara Anselmi. Directed by David Hyde Pierce.

Tickets for each show cost $40 and up. They can be ordered via 92Y.org/LexList.
