Todrick Hall Chats With Wendy Williams About Coming Out, Taylor Swift Friendship, and New Documentary | Playbill

Broadway News Todrick Hall Chats With Wendy Williams About Coming Out, Taylor Swift Friendship, and New Documentary Hall’s Behind the Curtain is now available on iTunes.

Todrick Hall, the YouTube sensation who is currently starring in Broadway’s Chicago, made his first appearance on The Wendy Williams Show December 13.

Hall, also recently seen in Kinky Boots, spoke about performing on the ninth season of American Idol, coming out to his family, his friendship with Grammy winner Taylor Swift, and his new documentary Behind the Curtain: Todrick Hall (which was just released on iTunes).

The documentary, Hall explains, follows the creation of his full-length musical Straight Outta Oz, during a period of his career in which he felt "really frustrated in Hollywood with the homophobia and the racism that I felt I was experiencing, and rather than be that person that was playing the victim and trying to make people feel sorry for me, I was like, ’I want to write something that is able to convey how I feel.’”
