MCC Theater has assembled an all-star lineup for its 2018 Miscast concert, in which performers sing tunes they would likely never have the chance to take on in their proper context. Among those set to take the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom are Waitress star and composer Sara Bareilles, Once on This Island showstopper Alex Newell, and The Band’s Visit’s Katrina Lenk.
The March 26 benefit will also feature Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell (soon to star in MCC’s Relevance), Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart, Tony nominees Raúl Esparza, Robert Fairchild, and Keala Settle (who performs the Oscar-nominated “This Is Me” in The Greatest Showman), Hamilton star and Dancing with the Stars winner Jordan Fisher, and Moana’s Auli’I Cravalho.

Additional participants will be announced at a later date.
As previously announced, the event will honor Tony winner Laurie Metcalf, who earned her first Oscar nomination January 23 for her performance in Lady Bird. She will return to Broadway this season in a revival of Three Tall Women.
Performance-only tickets are currently on sale to MCC Theater Patron Program members, with a subscriber pre-sale beginning January 26. Tickets will go on sale to the general public January 30.
