Inspired by a true story, the series stars Josh Radnor as high school drama teacher Lou Mazzuchelli, who sets out to reinvigorate the theatre program through challenging his students and helping them find a sense of identity and purpose. When he chooses Spring Awakening as the year’s big production, controversy ensues due to the nature of the show.
