School of Rock Tony nominee Alex Brightman has penned an untitled family comedy, which is currently in development at NBC, according to Deadline.
Hamilton's Jeffrey Seller and Flody Suarez of Seller Suarez Productions are set to produce. The pair's upcoming projects also include the Broadway-bound Cher bio-musical.
Brightman, whose TV credits include Royal Pains and SMILF, will also star as a struggling young man who returns to live with his parents in their rent-controlled apartment. In addition to School of Rock, he has appeared in Big Fish, Glory Days, Wicked, and Matilda.
