Film & TV News NBC Developing Family Comedy by School of Rock's Alex Brightman and Hamilton Producer Jeffrey Seller Brightman, who earned a Tony nomination for his performance as Dewey in School of Rock, penned the currently untitled comedy.

School of Rock Tony nominee Alex Brightman has penned an untitled family comedy, which is currently in development at NBC, according to Deadline.

Hamilton's Jeffrey Seller and Flody Suarez of Seller Suarez Productions are set to produce. The pair's upcoming projects also include the Broadway-bound Cher bio-musical.

Brightman, whose TV credits include Royal Pains and SMILF, will also star as a struggling young man who returns to live with his parents in their rent-controlled apartment. In addition to School of Rock, he has appeared in Big Fish, Glory Days, Wicked, and Matilda.
