Cabaret & Concert News Kelli O'Hara Will Sing and Tell Stories With Seth Rudetsky at San Francisco Benefit Concert The Tony-winning star will share backstage stories at the Herbst Theatre January 28.

Tony Award-winning actor-singer Kelli O'Hara, who is headed back to Broadway as star of the upcoming Kiss Me, Kate revival, will first take time to reunite with Sirius/XM radio personality Seth Rudetsky for a January 28 benefit concert at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.

O'Hara won the 2015 Tony as Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Anna Leonowens in the Broadway revival of The King and I. She was nominated five times previously, for her performances in The Bridges of Madison County, South Pacific, Nice Work If You Can Get It, The Light in the Piazza, and The Pajama Game.

Among her growing list of TV credits, O’Hara is currently starring on the streaming series The Accidental Wolf. She was featured as Mrs. Darling in NBC’s Peter Pan Live!.

The San Francisco concert will consist of songs from O’Hara‘s career, built around backstage stories Rudetsky will draw out in an interview format.

Rudetsky is afternoon host of the Broadway Channel on Sirius/XM, and a columnist for Playbill. He co-wrote the libretto and co-starred in the Broadway musical Disaster!

The 5 PM concert is part of producer Mark Cortale’s Broadway @ The Herbst concert series at the venue being hosted by Sirius XM, and designed to benefit San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, Project Open Hand, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. O’Hara’s concert is the second of three planned this year at the Herbst. The season opened in October with a sold-out appearance by Tony winner Jessie Mueller, and is scheduled to continue March 18 with a concert by another Tony winner, Faith Prince.
