Commissioner of the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Julie Menin, Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin, and Nederlander's son James L. Nederlander hosted a dedication ceremony November 9 for the James M. Nederlander Alley, in honor of the late chairman of the Nederlander Organization who passed away in July 2016 at the age of 94.

All three stressed how much Nederlander deserved this honor, adding that few have done more for Broadway and the community. And of course, Nederlander's distinctive voice was lovingly referenced and imitated by his son during his remarks.
