The American premiere of Bruce Norris’ epic new play finds its cast at the Public Theater.

Tony winner Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Looking's Chris Perfetti, and three-time Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlin are part of the cast of Pulitzer winner Bruce Norris' The Low Road, which examines the beginning of capitalism in America. The epic new drama, which will feature a cast of 17 playing a total of 50 roles, will make its American debut at the Public Theater this winter.

Dear Evan Hansen director Michael Greif helms the Off-Broadway production. Performances will begin February 13 ahead of a March 7 opening.

Set in the 18th century, The Low Road imagines America’s first laissez-faire capitalist, played by Perfetti. Billed as a “parable about the true cost of inequality,” the play follows the young man’s path to riches at whatever cost.

Completing the cast are Tessa Albertson, Max Baker, Daniel Davis, Crystal Dickinson, Gopal Divan, Jack Hatcher, Josh Henderson, Chukwudi Iwuji, Johnny Newcomb, Susannah Perkins, Richard Poe, Dave Quay, Aaron Michael Ray, Joseph Soeder, and Danny Wolohan.

The production will feature scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Matt Tierney, wig, hair, and make-up design by design J. Jared Janas and Dave Bova, and music composition by Mark Bennett.
