In the video above, A Bronx Tale composer Alan Menken, librettist Chazz Palminteri, and producer Tommy Mottola discuss the creation of the new musical at the Longacre Theatre. The company also performs portions of the second act opener, “Webster Avenue.”

The Broadway company is currently led by Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero as Sonny, Christiani Pitts as Jane, Richard H. Blake as Lorenzo, Bobby Conte Thornton as Calogero, Lucia Giannetta as Rosina, Bradley Gibson as Tyrone, and Will Coombs and Jonah Mussolino, who share the part of Young Calogero.

The ensemble features Michelle Aravena, Gilbert L. Bailey II, Joe Barbara, Michael Barra, Jonathan Brody, Ted Brunetti, Brittany Conigatti, Kaleigh Cronin, John Gardiner, Rory Max Kaplan, Charlie Marcus, Janelle McDermoth, Shannon Mullen, Robert Neary, Dominic Nolfi, Wonu Ogunfowora, Brandon O’Neill, Paul Salvatoriello, Joseph J. Simeone, Joey Sorge, Cary Tedder, Keith White, and Christopher Henry Young.

A Bronx Tale has a book by Academy Award nominee Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Menken, and lyrics by Grammy winner and Oscar and Tony nominee Glenn Slater. It is co-directed by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony nominee Sergio Trujillo.
