Los Angeles News Echo Theatre Plans West Coast Premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Gloria The Los Angeles theatre company will stage four premieres as part of its 2018 season.

Los Angeles’ Echo Theater Company will launch its 2018 season with the world premiere of Yusu Toporov’s spiritual thriller An Undivided Heart, March 16–April 22. Presented as a co-production with Circle X Theatre Company, Toporov’s drama explores how society goes on in the face of unspeakable acts. Echo Artistic Director Chris Fields will direct a cast that includes Circle X Artistic Director Tim Wright.

Following will be three West Coast premieres, including Daniel Talbott’s dark memory play What Happened When, running April 11–26, and Molly Smith Metzler’s comedy about new motherhood, Cry It Out Loud, July 14–August 19.

The season will close with Branden Jacobs-JenkinsGloria, a dark and topical satire of American office culture, which will run September 15–October 21.
